about

I began to form his new website from the day when my flight landed in Keflavík – Iceland. It was one of the days when the active magma under the ground on the Reykjanes peninsula was expected to erupt.

It needed a new beginning, a new nature, a new quality. I knew barely anything about it, if it would be just a blog or become a website for my works, neither what it would say, nor what it would lead me to, only that I wanted it to be open, vulnerable, simple, walking with the very step under my feet.

Some weeks have passed since my arrival.

While the restlessness of the magma under the surface of the earth created ripples in the atmosphere during my first two weeks, I felt like crossing a threshold with my landing in the north. The clarity of the direction felt bold, yet pure and soft to be here, and every day opened me up more to the surrounding around me. Silent mountains, touching the nearly unmoved sea. Stillness.

And day and night are melting into a sense of listening.

And while during the past days we got blessed with the awesome, surreal phaenomenon of the polar stratospheric clouds, taking place in the great silence around us, the volcano erupted last night
